This business is poorly managed, Work is exceedingly below standards of the business and the specifications of the contract.

Our advise is to stay away from this company. We contacted and meet with the owner and contracted to have a bovine wood post and wire fence. The owner wrote the contract to have posts put in at a 2 foot depth. The posts were put in a 6" hole at a depth of no more than 18". When we advised him that the posts should be tamped not just have the soil placed back in which would not support the weight of the fence let alone cattle, he disagreed. The first 22 posts could be wiggled the full width of the post hole and pulled out with one hand. This was discussed again with the owner, who never inspected the work or returned to the work site after leaving the workmen to verify the work appropriateness. He mocked our concerns for the need to improve the work. He did agree to switch to an 8" auger and tamp the posts as originally agreed, but he wanted to use concrete on live stock posts. Without my knowledge he told my husband that concrete would cost 3,000.00 dollars. When my husband said he could not do that Mr. Martin dropped the cost and my husband gave him a check I thought for 1300.00 which was his stated charge in our emails , but the owner wanted 1750.00 for concrete and for labor to redo the 22 posts that were only 16-18" in the ground. I told him again that I did not want concrete and offered a pile of blue stone to use if the soil was too wet, which it wasn't, to help secure the base of the posts before tamping in the soil. He than wanted us to pay 350.00 for additional stone and 150.00 for delivery. He was told to return the 1750.00 check and he said that he would return it the next day, but he cashed it instead. He has been given 9,000,00 for the fence and has not returned our money. 64 posts out of 3 to 4 hundred have been put in but need to be redone by another company. We strove with them for three days and not one post was put in properly. He gives excuses, but still no results. Mr. Martin has made three appointments to "bring us a cashiers check, but has never arrived. Mr. Martin talked like he would do a magnificent job , but his prices kept changing and he NEVER followed through with his claims or contract specifications. The workers did not appear to know how to do the work properly although they tried, but the equipment was inadequate to do the work properly. My husband and I have put in over a thousand posts on the farm during the past 40 years and we have never seen this lack of understanding and quality of work.
