I put a down payment on a lease to own 14000 BTU window unit AC without getting them to test it before taking it home because I have been a customer with them for a few years now and have another lease on a dryer with them and just didn't think they would sell me something knowing it didn't work strait out of the store. The ac unit will not even power on. They said it had 1 previous lease. I brought it back to them will to swap out for a older more used ac until they could get it repaired. One of the employees plugged it up at the store where I got it and it did not work like I told them. Both employees were very nice. They got the manager Tony Mazza and he told me there was nothing they could do. They had 2 other ac units on the counter running while we spoke and he refused an exchange or a refund and threatened to call law enforcement if I didn't leave. I was so mad I was in tears. I told him I wanted a copy of my lease which he refused. So I said I wanted the ac I brought in back then. He can have it back upon the return of my down payment. Strangely he agreed to that. So the nice man that tested it took it back to my car. Now I don't want to even finish paying for my dryer. I have paid well over 800 for this dryer it's not worth near that much but it's a lease so I know it cost a lot more in the long run and I was willing to complete the lease but now they will not receive another dime from me. He ripped me off. Resolution Sought I want this manager fired from this business and I want my ac fixed and i want reimbursed for the hotel room im forced to stay in at $65 a night. It's 110 degrees here in Louisiana and has been in the triple digits for over 2 weeks now and I have a baby and can't go home bc of this man. Have to stay at a hotel in a bad area of town. I don't feel safe at all.
