Customer Complaint

10/6/2021

On October 1, 2021, I visited the Work Source Center to use their computer. My rolling- cart was with me and inside of my cart were paperwork and files. The Center and its Employees made my visit extremely uncomfortable. I was being rushed to finish and harassed in the process. They had no one else waiting to use any computer during my visit at their location, in which raised multiple questions regarding the reason they were rushing me to finish within my first hour. My hour was extended by a supervisor, but before extending my hour I was questioned the reason I didn't go to the library. On October 4, 2021, the Center and its employees reported to their Deputy Director that I was a homeless client that brought a flea infested cart inside of their Center. Their allegations directed at me and my cart are outrageous and insane. I did not infect their business with fleas, and neither did my rolling- cart. What they did was made me feel not welcomed at their center. I managed to finish within 30 minutes of the extended hour, and the rest of the time was spent addressing my envelope. The Center still made it their priority to inform me that my computer time was expired, despite of the fact that they had no other person waiting to use their computer. I felt extremely annoyed and uncomfortable. What's offensive however, is the false claims that I brought fleas to their business. That's completely insane. I had no fleas on me and neither did my cart. Their claims are careless. Resolution Sought I would like for this complaint to be investigated by this agency, and I ask that the agency require them to prove their flea claims against me and my cart. I am extremely offended and so is my spouse. They should also be asked to respond to the reason they were rushing me to expedite my computer use when it was no one else waiting to to use any of their computers. This complaint should proceed due to the poor customer service and the outrageous claims directed at me and my cart.

Company Response

10/22/2021

Company states; The WorkSource Center's mission is to provide job seekers with access to computers to look for work. This was explained to Mr. Greene, who initially said that he was looking for work when he arrived at the Center without an appointment. The Center's policy is to limit computer use to an hour for visitors without an appointment, and at the end of this time Mr. Greene requested extra time to use one of the Center's computers. This request was granted, even though Mr. Greene admitted to staff that he was using the computer for a personal matter. The WorkSource Center has apolgized to Mr. Greene for any allegation that the shopping cart, which he brought to the center carried fleas. The conduct of the Center's staff has been reviewed and appropriate measures have been taken to prevent future misunderstandings. Sincerely, AJCC WorkSource

Customer Rebuttal

Their demeanor was "you shouldn't have never entered our doors." One I finished within my extended hour, they still was badgering me about being in the computer area and use of it, when I was only addressing an envelope. When the harassment was reported, the Center then proceeded with expressing the reason that their behavior was harassment from the beginning. It had everything to do with the fact that I had my cart with me, and their belief of me being homeless. That's the precise reason that their answer is not accepted and neither is their apology. Multiple staff individuals at that AJCC Work Source made comments that I brought fleas to their business, and so did my cart. They were essentially claiming that I don't have proper hygiene. If their place is infected with fleas, they had them before I visited the location. I didn't have them when I left my doctor's office, nor where they on me or my cart during the time that I was on Public Transportation. They preferred that I go to the library rather than using their services. That is the precise reason it's a rebuttal.
