Rental company gave us a faulty car, brakes were scrubbing and screeching. Called to get another rental, multiple times, was hung up on numerous times (3-4), car refused to escalate calls, another rental was offered and an appt set up, when called to let Alamo know that we were on the way to exchange cars, they stated no rentals were available in all Dallas bc of solar eclipse. 4 lives were in danger because of a faulty vehicle, if the brakes stopped working completely, our lives would be lost. Dear National Rental, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received from your roadside assistance department on 12/20. I recently encountered an unfortunate accident that was not my fault, and the whole experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. After contacting your roadside assistance, I was provided with an estimated arrival time of 2 hours for the tow truck. However, it has now been 6 hours since that initial call, and the tow truck has yet to arrive. To make matters worse, I have been receiving continuous updates stating that the tow truck is only 20 minutes away, which has proven to be entirely inaccurate. Not only am I stranded in a rental vehicle that I cannot start due to the accident, but the outside temperature is 40 degrees, making the situation extremely uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. This prolonged wait time without any concrete updates or assistance from your team is completely unacceptable. I sincerely hope that you address this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future and restore my faith in the quality of service National Rental claims to provide. Update- tow truck took 7 hours to get there… Uber/lyft never showed…I had to walk 5 miles to the nearest hotel……it was 40 degrees outside Resolution Sought I was in an accident and they did nothing about it. Left me on the side of the road…I don't know what I can do but I'll figure out something..I have text messages saying the tow truck is 20 mins away…30 minutes away to the point where I just gave up and started walking
