Customer Complaint

This property management company has been very difficult to communicate with. They sent me a notice to be out by a certain date which I was. Before that date they sent me an eviction notice because I had a late fee on my account. I've been paid the late fee and had a zero balance and now they are unwilling to give me my deposit back. Throughout the past year and a half I have had a terrible experience with this company. I had an emergency flooding situation due to an old water heater exploding and water pouring all over the house. They had no one on call and I had to pay out of pocket and had damages to my belongings. The last three weeks there was no one in the office to talk to. I am needed to take legal action. Resolution Sought Give back my deposit and clear the eviction notice.

Company Response

Company states; Ms. Harrington was given a notice to vacate on 10/28/2022 for 11/30/2022 via certified mail. The resident did not vacate on that date. We reissued a notice to vacate on 11/23/2022 for 12/31/2022. The resident was sent on 12/19/2022 move out instructions, to include where keys were to be dropped off. When 1/2/2023 came around, it was turn key day, and the resident called in and stated she left them on the counter. We filed eviction on her due to her not paying December's rent. She finally paid December's rent in January, which is when we dismissed the eviction. We kept her security based on eviction charges, and condition the premises was left in. For example: tenant put in a maintenance request in October 2022, however never scheduled with the vendor, leaving a broken oven completely. We do not wish to refund any monies to this tenant; however, the eviction shows as vacated. Thank you, Office Manager
