BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Most complainants allege price gouging on service call fees labor rates and parts. Customers complain they are verbally told there is a $25 service call charge but are invoiced $100 or more when repairmen took as little as two minutes to change a knob or fuse to correct problems. Other complainants allege repairs performed do not correct problems or that problems are misdiagnosed causing unnecessary repairs. A few complain the company fails to honor their warranties or that the company intentionally overcharges senior citizens. ~~The company responds to most complaints by advising that in order to operate they incurr considerable overhead expenses and by providing partial or full refunds. They state that it is necessary to charge the prices to offset their operating expenses. They also contend that customers are made aware of charges before work is performed. Some complainants dispute the company obtains authorization before performing work. They contend they are told nothing until after work is performed.
