Alliance one mismanaged my account which resulted in the theft of $819.00 and the supervisor, Cynthia, took no responsibility for my money being stolen from me. Basically, she laughed at me like it was doing for not paying the ticket, but I was fighting the ticket in court which is my legal right to do. My account/ticket was dismissed by a judge in December 4, 2023; however, my account was not updated by AllianceOne, which resulted in the intercept of my money unjustifiably. Now, they are telling me they won't refund me for 90 plus day due to their error. This is an unacceptable business practice that should be looked into. I did my due diligence and resolved this matter with the courts on December 4, 2023 and communicated this with AllianceOne through out the whole process. Once the judge dismissed the ticket, I cleared the matter with Alliance One; however, they did not update my account causing this issue that they will not rectify in a timely manner. Resolution Sought Issue a timely refund due to their error and mismanagement of my account.

The complainant states they had a ticket, which was ultimately dismissed on December 4, 2023. The consumer states despite communicating to AllianceOne that the matter was cleared, their account was not updated, causing the unjustifiable interception of $819.00 of their money. The consumer states AllianceOne representatives took no responsibility for the error as if it was the consumer's fault. The consumer states AllianceOne will take ninety days to issue their refund, and they desire a timelier refund. Ms. Thomas' San Diego Superior Court account 57247996 was placed with AllianceOne on September 27, 2023. Upon receipt of this complaint, we notified our client, San Diego Superior Court, and the consumer's account is cancelled. On December 4, 2023, our client notified us that the consumer's case was dismissed. When consumers' account statuses change, we notify the Franchise Tax Board with electronic files. If a consumer's taxes are intercepted, it takes 30 to 60 days for AllianceOne to receive the payment. Consequently, AllianceOne must receive the funds to issue a refund. AllianceOne has now received the intercepted funds, and we will be issuing the refund to the consumer on April 29, 2024 via FedEx to ensure the consumer's receipt as soon as possible.We review our internal processes and provide feedback to our representatives as deemed necessary.
