CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

I wanted to express my concern regarding the tax preparation services I received from a company. As a first-year business owner, I relied on professional guidance to ensure my taxes were filed accurately and on time. Leading up to the Ohio tax filing deadline, I made several attempts to contact my assigned tax preparer due to delays and a lack of communication. Because I was concerned about missing the deadline, I escalated the matter to a supervisor. During a video call with my tax preparer, my taxes were completed very quickly. While I understand the importance of efficiency, the pace of the process left me confused and with unanswered questions. When I attempted to seek clarification, I felt rushed and uncomfortable during the interaction. As a result, I ended the call feeling uncertain, after which my tax return was submitted. A few weeks after my taxes were filed, I was audited by the IRS and informed that my return had been prepared incorrectly. I have since been advised that I now owe money due to errors in the original filing. This situation has been extremely stressful, particularly as this was my first year operating a business, and I trusted professional expertise. I believe clearer communication, responsiveness, and adequate explanation throughout the process could have prevented this outcome. As a first-year filer, I also missed out and was not informed about offerings that should have been applied to my return. Resolution Sought Complete an amended return for free. I would also like someone to help explain to me why I was audited, especially if I gave the preparer all my documents.
