I bought a policy with auto shield out that auto shield claims are paid by American auto shield when my claim was filed American auto shield after going back-and-forth finally denied my claim for repairing my vehicle. They said the reason that they would not cover my claim is because I knew owners had a foreign substance in the car but announced to me maintenance on my car. I found out that the dealership that sold me the car knew what the previous owners had done and they went ahead and replace the system and put a new head gasket and switched off the head and cleaned out the engine, so the foreign substance wouldn't be in my car and they could not be held liable for selling in the state of Virginia and I went back to contact American auto shield and told them that I had new information. They told me that the adjusters claim was final and that the only way that I could get anything is that I had 60 days to file a mediation and I'm hoping that you can help me with this. Resolution Sought My desire outcome is for them to do like my mechanic recommended and replace the engine now that not only my mechanic, but I know that the foreign substance that they're claiming for the denial plays no part in this claim because the stuff that the foreign substance would have corrupted has been removed from the car and replaced properly.

They refused to cover the replacement of my truck engine due to lack of maintenance in their opinion. I only owned the vehicle for 1 1/2 years & kept up with all oil changes which is the best that I could do according to the dealership repair facility. According to my policy, the engine replacement should have been covered. Resolution Sought Issue a full refund for the yearly total paid into their company.
