I purchase a a Dodge journey from American Car center in August of 2020. I start having trouble with it when I was on my drive to work, it seemed to lose power going uphill. It was diagnosed with piston trouble by Evans automotive, he said it was under warranty. When I took it the Dodge place they didn't know when they would be able to get to it. I'm a nurse and I needed a way to works. After a difficult battle with AmericanCar Center , I was able to swap it for a Chevrolet Trax. When I went to swap the car, I was not able to pick the car off the lot that I wanted within the same price range. As a matter of fact they picked the car and the one they gave me came from the back of the building. The car was chosen for me by the owner Muhammad. Shortly after I received it, I began to have trouble with it. It ran hot, I was told to take it to Evans automotive shop. He diagnosed it as head gasket. First he sent me to Solomon Chevrolet because he found something that was under warranty which was the water pump. Solomon repaired the water pump, so I took it back to Evans to replace the head gasket. I took it on a Sunday evening and when I called on Monday to inquire about when it will be ready. Mr Evans said it is ready now. You can pick it up. He did not give me any paperwork showing he had fixed the head gasket. So I know it wasn't done. I have continued to have trouble with this car. I called them this morning and told them to pick it up. Resolution Sought I do not want my returning of this car to ruin to affect my credit. If I'm paying $500 a month I should not have to worry if I can make it anywhere on this car. When I go out of town I have to get a ride from my children. That's unacceptable.
