American Express really need to stop having their representative lid deceive and defend customers and I had the same card and number for 35 years until May or June 2024 when they decided to commit fraud by telling me they were giving me a new card number because the $116.00 do have been cleared waiver and resolved. The new card will be New with zero balance. I don't owe American Express a dime. Resolution Sought They need to stop sending notices that I owe them something and stop instructing their staff to lie deceive and defend customers.

I want to pay my debt. But after being diagnosed with Epilepsy, I can only work part time. I went to a consumer debt counseling company recommended by American Express and was told that they could allow me 5 years to pay, and we all agreed at 2.99 percent interest. Now, they will only give me 3 years to pay and I cannot afford the $602 monthly amount. Can you tell them to follow Federal Law and allow me 5 years. Maybe they are afraid that I'm going to die before the full pay-out, and thus won't give me allowable Federal Law of 5 years? I cannot figure it out. To me, this $150 difference is very important. Resolution Sought Allow me a 5 year pay rather than 3 years.
