I have reviewed AHS' records regarding this matter. On November 28, 2025, the member requested service for their refrigerator. AHS assigned Appliance in Motion to perform a diagnostic evaluation. The contractor determined that the failure was attributable to a condition observable by visual inspection. Consequently, the claim was denied in accordance with Section 7M of the warranty agreement, which identifies pre-existing conditions prior to coverage commencement. The member submitted a request for reimbursement of the $125 service fee for the refrigerator claim and a one-month premium. According to AHS records, the $38.49 monthly premium was disputed by the member and subsequently reversed. As such, reimbursement will not be provided for the premium, as monthly premiums are necessary to maintain active coverage under the plan. AHS has issued a refund for the $125 service fee as a gesture of goodwill. The member can expect the refund to be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days. We regret any inconvenience caused by this claim. For assistance with submitting a new service request, please contact AHS Customer Service at 800-776-4663. Thank you for your consideration

I have Aamerican Home shield been a member for years I air conditioner went out. They offered a service of replacement and I took them up on it so I replaced my air conditioner and furnace in June 2025. My furnace has not been working properly. It doesn't come on when it should every time I call for service they charge me another hundred dollars And says that the parts are covered under manufacturer warranty but their service is not even though when I bought the AC furnace, I was told there was a 10 year warranty that I shouldn't have to pay anything by the installers which was Sierra Mechanical? and they were sent out by Aamerican Home shield However they will not service the air conditioner even though they installed it without Aamerican Home shield's permission and then Aamerican Home shield charges me $100 every time even though the furnace hasn't worked properly since installation I'm very frustrated. I've had numerous cause to both Aamerican Home shield and Sierra to get it Rectified Sierra has been compliant as they can be, but I don't understand their limitation on Service since they installed it and I don't understand why Aamerican Home shield keeps charging me $100 service fee since there's a 10 year warranty on the system. Can you help me? Resolution Sought To get my furnace working properly a no service fees for the call since it is under warranty, please and thank you refund of all my money since it isn't working properly

December 5, 2025 SENT VIA BCA WEBSITE ONLY Business Consumer Alliance 315 N La Cadena Drive Post Office Box 970 Colton, CA 92324-0814 Dear Business Consumer Alliance: American Home Shield Corporation ("AHS") is in receipt of your letter advising of the above referenced complaint. Your letter has been forwarded to me for review and response. AHS sincerely apologizes for any frustration Ms. Piller has experienced regarding this matter. On October 30, 2025, a new service request for the furnace was placed. Section 20 of the warranty states: "Trade Service Call Fee or Service Fee: The non-refundable fee collected at the time you submit a Service Request to diagnose the Covered Item, unless otherwise stated in this Plan Agreement." On December 2, 2025, Sierra Mechanical advised AHS that the thermostat was replaced for the furnace, and the unit was working properly at the time of service. If Ms. Piller is still experiencing issues with the furnace, she may contact AHS to place a new service request. In light of the inconvenience encountered, AHS has waived the trade service call fee and will issue a $100 reimbursement to the original payment source within approximately 21–28 business days. We truly appreciate Ms. Piller's patience and understanding throughout this process and remain committed to ensuring a fair and timely resolution. Sincerely, Ashley W. AMERICAN HOME SHIELD CORPORATION
