My husband and I had a policy through this company and the rates changed so I contacted the agent/Chris McGlynn to have mine canceled and to have my husband's still on there on November 16th. This was done by email.. Chris replied stating he would do the changes and the charges going will now be $55. The new policy was emailed and it was signed and emailed back and was told he will get this sent in. I was checking my balance in my acct on Dec 6th and notice the chg of $178.26 coming out. I tried calling/emailing the agent but no response. So I called main office spoke to several people about this and they all said something different that I should of called them to cancel when the agent never told me that, one said there is nothing in my file of the changes and one said that I wouldn't get a refund unless I write to their office exactly transpired. I even forwarded the email that Chris and I was discussing as well. I think this is not right for me to do all this when their employee didn't do his job. Could someone help me with this? Thank you! I joined this insurance company through my union. The first year was fine when it was time to renew my insurance policy. The insurance agent called me and I thought I was renewing my insurance, but what was happening is they were writing a new policy and I was actually paying more money and didn't know it until I started noticing two payments going out of my account to the insurance company and it was causing my account to overdraft all the time because it wasn't the time, the dates that I had set for withdrawal, I contacted the insurance company they told me that they would look into it. They took down the agents names and their agent number. I never got a respond I sent the second letter never got a response so I had to put out a fraud claim against them through my bank , and then I still didn't get all of my money, but that was a lesson to me to pay close attention to all of my financial transactions. This was all done without my approval. Without my awareness. I canceled the policies that I did approve because I felt violated and I didn't trust this company. Resolution Sought My desired outcome was to get all of my money back and that they wouldn't do this to any more people because to my understanding they get a commission or extra money if they write new contracts.

Our office appreciates Ms. Vaughn for reaching out to us about this matter. Independently contracted agents generally reach out to policyholders for an annual review. This allows the insured to update their coverage. Policies are issued as applied for. Whole Life policy 16233598 was surrendered with a paid to date of November 27,02023. Surrender Value was released by check which cleared our account on December 28, 2023. Accident Policy 16233599 was not cancelled at that time. As a courtesy our office will cancel this policy with a paid to date of December 27, 2023. Unearned premiums will be refunded within the next 7 business days. Whole Life policy 17027935 was surrendered at the insureds request as of December 3, 2023. The surrender value was issued by check, and cleared our account on December 28, 2023. There is no basis for the refund of premiums on this policy. It has been in force for two years and the insured has had the security of coverage during that period. Whole Life policy 18777156 was in force for 3 months before our office received a request for cancellation. As a courtesy we will cancel this policy as of the date of issue and refund premiums. Please allow 7 days for the release of the funds.
