America's Choice Roofing complaints

April of 2018 a severe storm passed through Idaho Falls, ID. causing extensive damage to roofs and sidings city wide. America's Choice ( Great Falls, Mt) was contacted for a total roof replacement. Our USAA Service Provider sent a Claims Rep., and ultimately approved a $16,334.60. The job was completed by America's Choice on July 30, 2018 with a 25 year warranty on the asphalt shingles, and a 5 year workmanship warranty. On April 7th of this year, I was informed by our Chimney Service Rep., that 5 Pipe Jack Flashings were cracked and needed replacement. I contacted Jeannette Wood (America's Choice Rep.) on April 8th , and informed her of the discovery. She assured me that she would inform Greg Wood (owner) of the situation, and get back with me before close of business that day. I followed up with five additional phone calls and two E-Mails over a two week period with no response. I was informed by the asphalt shingle warranty provider that their warranty only covers shingles and not Pipe Jack Flashings, and the contractor should resolve the problem.. During the two weeks & no response, I checked the Internet for the life expectancy of a pipe jack flashing. The normal life expectancy is ten years or more, and mine lasted less than four years. My conclusions are: 1. Since I didn't hear from America 's Choice, I checked with some local roofing companies, and was told it would cost from $300 to $600 to fix the problem. Resolution Sought 2. I can't believe America's Choice with the lack of follow-up phone calls to the consumer (my family) concerning installation/concerns, would maintain a 5 star rating from BBB in the future. 3. I strongly believe that America's Choice is negligent in the improper installation of an inferior product under the workmanship warranty and should be accountable in replacing my five Pipe Jack Flashings free of charge.
