Quoted $2990 estimate for a move. Great price for a three bed, two bath home. Half was given to them upfront. The quote was reassessed video walk through and reassessed at triple around $9000 right before the move. This is an outrageous difference. Its bait n' switch style entrapment. Now they have $1495 of my money that they will not refund due to their contract clauses. They offered a $1200 credit toward a future move. I do not want to do any further business with them because this practice is unethical. Resolution Sought I do not want to do business with them. I would like my money back. However, I am entrapped into this. They come Saturday with and undersized van for a move. Otherwise, the $1495 is lost forever. I believe they did this purposefully, it's a scheme. An unethical business practice for sure.

We appreciate customers' feedback, as a company, we are always looking for ways to improve our services. In response to the online complaint we would like to address the following: 1. On May 22 , 2023 the company secured a position on our calendar and provided customers with a Binding Moving Estimate, which was acknowledged, signed and returned, prior to accepting a deposit of $1,426.09 to secure a position on our calendar. 2. Long Distance Moving is a service we provide to our customers and in order to execute the move, our company utilizes authorized FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) motor carriers. In fact, policy states "Please note that America's Moving and Storage. is a properly licensed interstate Broker. America's Moving and Storage is not a motor carrier and will not transport an individual shipper's household goods, but will coordinate and arrange for the transportation of household goods by another FMCSA authorized motor carrier, whose charges will be determined by its published tariff." 3. We have a devoted team who specializes in the Quality Assurance process. Their objective is going through the inventory for a second time to have a more accurate idea of overall volume. The customer goes through this process approximately 3 to 5 days before their pick up date to provide the most accurate inventory. With this process being completed it also provides safety to the client of being charged premium on site increases of payment on the day of pick up. In this case the customer's inventory increased and the customer canceled. The Customer's desired resolution was for a full refund. After careful review of the account and our cancellation policy, the company has concluded we not only stayed in clear communication with the customer, but we have executed our end of the estimate. Therefore, no refund can be processed in any form. Our company would have rather executed the move. However, our company will hold the deposit for 12 calendar months for a future Long Distance move from the cancellation date (June 22, 2023). Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
