Angi Inc complaints

I am a contractor who signed up with Angi (Angie List). When I started with them, I explained to them I was only interested in obtaining 1000 leads with an agreed amount, which I paid in advance, for $700.00. I made it clear that was all I wanted and once I received those leads, I would not require services from them. Everything appeared fine, then once I started problems began: 1. The majority of leads for my business were bogus. I literally was on the phone with them every day because they would charge me for leads that were businesses or disconnected numbers. 2. I stopped answering the leads because they were bogus. I called them and asked them to put leads on hold while I investigated what was what. Regardless of obtaining an email confirmation from them, they were still sending leads. 3. It seemed after this, suddenly I was receiving phone calls from contractors from various states indicating 'I was the individual requiring interior work in my house!" This was false. They utilized my business phone to these various contractors from out of state. 4. Despite my telling them, Angi's List was still sending leads that I did not approve or request. Alleging that I owe them $994.70. It's clear they are forcing leads onto me just so they can receive payment for things I DID NOT approve. 5. Now they are harassing me for monies for contract leads that were nonexistent. Calling me saying they will send me to collections. 6. In fact, the 1000 leads I paid $700, I Resolution Sought I want to file a business complaint against them. Their business practices are horrible and unethical. I have a small business, and this was a hardship I was not expecting. I was really thinking this would be great way to move my business forward, I am now seeing it was a mistake. I want everyone to know Angi's is truly disgusting, and no one should be subjected to such intolerable business. I learned a harsh lesson from them, and I want others to be aware.
