Very poor work ethics! Untrustworthy!

Hired Antolin Garduno to trim a tree and bushes, remove weeds, and mow the front and backyard for our rental property. He quoted $500 for the job. We agreed without hesitation since we have worked with him before. This time, he only mowed the lawn in the backyard and demanded payment upon our arrival. We told him he did not trim the trees & bushes or removed the weeds as we have discussed. He said he will be back in a few days to finish the job. Trusting that he will finish the job like he said, we paid him the entire $500 right on the spot. Only to find out Monday that he did not do what he said he would. Texted him several times, no responses. Threatened to inform the neighbors to not hire him for anything made him call us claiming he did trim the tree & bushes and removed the weeds. He just lied to us through his teeth. The tree branches were still hanging over our roof and the weeds are still there in the same spots on our driveway. We argued back and forth and I told him to return my money since he didn't finish the job. He then admitted that he didn't even stop by the house to see the condition before giving us a quote. But $500 for a minor lawn mowing of less than 1000 sq feet of grass?! Total rip off! Now I'm kicking myself to have wished I withheld the $400 until he actually completes the job as we discussed! This gardener deserves zero stars! DO NOT HIRE ANTOLIN GARDUNO FOR ANY JOB. VERY POOR WORK ETHICS AND WILL CHEAT YOUR MONEY!
