Booked a USPS round-trip load PA to WA through this guy and was forced to seek shelter for our drivers due to a freak winter blizzard in South Dakota. -55 degrees with the windchill. Broker harassed my dispatcher ordering him to get the load moving under life threatening conditions with no regard to driver well being or safety knowing full well the highway was closed at the time by SD DOT. We did get moving again and upon arrival in Seattle after driving straight through from SD to Seattle the drivers were told to get lost because the broker on his own without permission had canceled the return load without notifying us in any way causing loss of income somewhere between 6 to 7 thousand dollars. This is unacceptable and a gross breach of contract. Resolution Sought Full restitution of the amount owed to us as this was not our fault. Broker had no right to cancel the return trip.
