On 01APR2023 I was involved in a total loss accident. My vehicle was financed through Argent. I purchased GAP insurance when I purchased the vehicle. GAP insurance has paid what Argent told them is the GAP from what insurance paid out. Argent is starting that because I had utilized their "skip a payment" service 2 times when my military pay was incorrect that the total of those payments were not part of the loan and that I now owe them $1200 from those 2 payments that they started were not part of the loan or added back to the loan. This information was not afforded to me at the time that I asked about the "skip a payment" service when my military pay was not correct. The customer service I have received has been highly unacceptable as I would not have accepted the terms of the "skip a payment" when I asked about it and would have found another way to make the payment. Argent has also started that GAP insurance will not cover the $1200 as it was no longer part of the original loan. Resolution Sought I would like the business to either fix the loan and have GAP insurance pay it as it should have been according to the information they gave to me or forgive the $1200 balance as I had no knowledge of the terms of the "skip a payment" service.
