I leased an Alfa Romeo for my wife from Arrigo. We turned in a previous lease car. Last week we brought it to Arrigo to go thru it for the 18,000 mile annual checkup and oil change. They repaired a minor item under warranty. I contacted Ally Bank who the lease was assigned to in order to figure out how to pay the balance due on the contract so I could buy and get the title to the car. I was informed that they couldn't give me the title; that I had to have the title sent to an approved dealer and pay them. I then asked them who the dealer was that they used. They told me I could go to any approved dealer. They didn't offer a list but offered that I could go to the dealer where I got the car. I asked who was paying their approved dealer because I had no intention of doing it. After getting no reply, I asked if there was someone else I could talk to and Grace passed me on to Abbie who repeated the same information. I ended the conversation quickly and contacted the dealer, Arrigo. I explained that I was buying the lease vehicle and they asked when I was coming in. I said I wasn't. I just wanted to know where to send the money and have the title sent to me. I would also pay title fees and any sales tax due. At that point I was told I had to bring the vehicle in. When I asked why, he said they had to do a full inspection of the car and the fee for the inspection was approximately $1131.00 I said I was buying the car, didn't need it inspected again, it had just bee Resolution Sought I want to buy out my lease. I don't want to pay to have my car inspected. There is nothing in the contract that requires me to use a dealer or pay any fees. Arrigo assigned the contract to Ally.
