They quoted me a price for a service diagnostic visit but changed that price after the technician arrived on-site and did work. They said $89 then charged $109. In addition to that, they sent a salesman, Oliver Contrera, to my home to try to pressure me into purchasing a new HVAC system at an extremely high price. He used predatory sales tactics and the whole process should be considered fraudulent sales practices. Oliver stated my system did not work and I need a new one. He also stated it was six years old and it is only 4. He also tried to convince me it would be cold and they are running out of inventory so I need to buy now. Turns out, they never checked the warranty. I'm still covered. They did the previous install for $5600 but are now trying to charge me $21k to install a similar unit. In addition to that a new company completed tested everything and determined I do not need a new system. I also have all the documentation and text messages from their Sales person. I can provide any additional documentation needed to support the reported claim. Resolution Sought I want a refund and I want them to fix what is broken on my system instead of trying to make me purchase a new one. If they are not willing to refund the diagnostic fee then I should at least get so.wthing towards another company to fix the issue because the unit they installed is still under warranty. Which they didn't even want to check. They tried to price gouge me for a new unit.
