Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

A variety of factors are considered when calculating CRI. This includes how quickly a company responds to complaints, the number of complaints against a company, whether the company addressed complaint allegations, and the outcome of the complaints. CRI is just a subset of the overall rating for the company. On 10/16/2025 I completed an in-person follow up appointment for a paid clinical trial I was actively participating in at Ascada Research. On 10/14/25 I called and spoke to Ascada Research's Office Manager, Alyssa, notifying her that I relocated to Rancho Mirage, California and requested her to confirm with me that I would be compensated for my travel expenses since I'd be driving from Rancho Mirage to Fullerton and back again in order to get to the study site. I called and spoke to Alyssa again the morning of my appointment on 10/16/2025 and she confirmed I would receive the additional travel compensation. I offered to provide Alyssa with before and after pictures of my car's dashboard mileage but she declined and assured me that it would be unnecessary. After finishing up my appointment with Alyssa and the phlebotomist on 10/16/2025 I asked Alyssa once again about how I would receive my travel compensation since she gave me a paper check towards the end of my appointment for only the amount of one completed in-person appointment, $150. Alyssa informed me that she will contact the study administrator that same day and mentioned my study debit card will be loaded with my travel compensation. Alyssa never returned any of my calls afterwards and I was never compensated for my travel expenses that I was promised. It was very difficult for me to make ends and afford basic groceries the next following week after my appointment since I was never given acceptable compensation. Resolution Sought Load my prepaid study debit card with my travel compensation with interest due to the amount of time, money, and effort I spent constantly texting and calling and leaving multiple voicemails for the staff at Ascada Research in order to try and speak to someone from the company about this problem. I don't appreciate being lied to and coerced by Ascada Research's staff just to get me to come in and participate in their research study and sent off with insufficient pay for my valuable time and heal
