I'm currently involved with a supposedly Reputable car dealership that sold me a vehicle, which was involved in a Flood. The issue with the vehicle was Not reported in the issued Carfax at point of sale. Now, I am currently driving a rental. The online car broker, in fact that referred me to the dealership has offered to refund my down payment..and offered to obtain a new vehicle....But I then had to "reapply" for the Same loan... Unfortunately That has placed a Dent on my credit....Now because of the Dealership's lack of integrity on NOT submitting the Real issue of such vehicle..the finance agency is requiring me to issue DOUBLE the amount of the original down payment. What I personally thought would've been fair or to make restitution on such underhanded and illegal practice on the Dealerships part....would be to only pay the balance of the Now Double the amount of down Payment. Of course they refused. The dealership in question is in fact Audi of Calabasas California. Resolution Sought Merely pay the balance of the new down payment needed for a replacement vehicle. Because of their negligence.
