I purchased a car from this company on January 27, 2024. While being shown cars, I was being told that when they get cars, they check them out, make sure they're good, and then sell them. Test drove a 2014 Jeep Cherokee and decided to go with that. Sam said that everything was taken care of including when I specifically asked about the engine and the transmission. Again, I was told that the engine was good. Immediately when I got on the highway home, there was a sharp jerk from the transmission alerting a slip which didn't happen in the test drive they authorized just up the street and back. I immediately called because I believe that by law, that should've been disclosed and given to me to use in a decision on purchasing the vehicle or not. It wasn't. I had to fly back to Dallas for training but, I called all week about that issue plus a few more issues. I came back and retuned to the dealership on February 3, 2024, was told to bring it back on Feb 5, when the mechanic would be in. Dropped my car off on the 5th and they called me an hour into my shift telling me the vehicle was ready. Sam claimed to have driven my car for 30 minutes and said he felt nothing. The car was inspected by an ASE certified mechanic on February 9th and confirmed everything I was trying to tell them and also revealed that the motor mounts were bad and that an OS code was present as well. The car has been with them since then and no resolution has been reached for the deceptive trade practices used. Resolution Sought I would like a full refund from the deceptive sale. However, I will settle only for 2200 - the taxes they claimed to have paid for the vehicle, the remainder I would like refunded, and finally, if they are to put that vehicle back on the lot for sale, to properly have in writing of the issue that is in the transmission or fully fix the slip and have verification that it is done and provided to the next customer so that they will not have the same issue
