Company Response

Ms. Sollinger leased the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, stock # 21157, on June 9, 2021. The cruze was the second vehicle leased from us as she had totaled the 2004 Toyota Sienna she was leasing in an accident. At the time of lease, the cruze was recorded with 85,423 miles. The vehicle was sold with a 3 month/1,000-mile warranty. The customer used the vehicle for various delivery jobs and failed to perform routine maintenance to keep the vehicle in a drivable condition. The fact that Ms. Sollinger used the vehicle for commercial work directly violates the terms of her lease. As part of our lease program, all oil changes are complimentary if the customer is making payments on the vehicle. Vehicle maintenance is the customer's responsibility. All repairs are the responsibility of the customer. We have only 4 oil changes recorded during the time she was driving it. The car was repossessed with 131,718 miles. During that time, Ms. Sollinger did request service in July of 2023, asking for coil packs and spark plugs (provided by her) to be installed. At that time, we also installed front brakes and rotors. We had not heard from her from July until early November when she called complaining about the car not running correctly. During this time, Ms. Sollinger had fallen behind on her payments and had done nothing to get caught up. We determined based on her poor payment history and the neglect of the car; we would repossess the cruze on November 15th. After locating the vehicle, we sent a repossession team to go get it. The customer was found with the car in a parking lot. The repossession team witnessed Ms. Sollinger repeatedly striking the cruze with a metal pipe, while other people who appeared to be with Ms. Sollinger were seen with the hood open and working in the motor area. The customer voluntarily returned the cruze on November 16th. The customer was $640 behind in her payments and 4,295 over in her miles at the time of return. Additionally, the vehicle has incurred major damage due to her abuse and neglect. We are awaiting estimates on repairs. Pictures included. We maintain that the vehicle was not serviced as it needed to be considering she put over 46,000 miles on the cruze in little over two years, and because of that negligence, she began to experience difficulties with the car.

I was at work when the car was repossessed. Out of venango county so I’m not sure how they witnessed me hitting the vehicle with a metal pipe when I never did.
