Auto Hunter advertised a car on their website as being a "comprehensive restoration". But when the car was delivered it was NOT A COMPLETE RESTORATION. The for sale listing was riddled with lies, just plain fraud. I have contacted Auto Hunter, Steve Gregg. Steve places the blame on Garage Kept Motors, Jeremy Brunan. However, Jeremy places blame on Auto Hunter. They just keep pointing the finger each other and my money was literally stolen from me. Resolution Sought Fixed the car as stated on the ad or buyback the car plus fees paid. The air condition does not work. Has oil and gas leaks. The generator light is constantly on. Stereo completely dead. They can read their own ad and discover that this car is not as advertised. Interior not completely restored as well. Their ad is simply riddled with lies.

Company Response

AutoHunter is an online auction company providing customers with a listing service to connect buyers and sellers of collector vehicles. AutoHunter is not a dealer and does not handle sale proceeds, title, or physical vehicle. The seller is responsible for accurate representation of their auction vehicles and they are also required to review and approve all descriptions and photos before a vehicle can go live on AutoHunter. The actual sales transaction takes place between the winning bidder and the seller, outside of AutoHunter. We advise all bidders to perform their own due diligence on auction vehicles, ask questions of the seller, and inspect the vehicle in person (or hire a third-party inspector) before bidding on a vehicle and/or signing a bill of sale with the seller. AutoHunter has been in contact with the customer as well as the seller, attempting to help find a resolution between the two parties.

It appears that the seller, garage kept motors, authored the deceptive ad. Issue not resolved. Waiting on Auto Hunter to send proof to Garage Kept Motors; as to who authored the auto listing.
