I took out a consolidation loan and AutoMoney was sent more than the total payoff on the account as I had made a payment on the account two fridays prior to the payoff check being received. They cut the check for the overage back to one main financial instead of to the account holder. One Main Financial has stated that in no uncertain terms those funds should have been dispersed to the account holder and not sent back to them. When I called AutoMoney to inform them they accused me of fraud and hung up the phone. The company will not give me the receipt for the final payment or the address for where they sent the overage check. They simply stated that the overage check was forwarded back to one main financial (which is where I took out the consolidation loan. They simply state that Mr. Tucker will have to reach out to OneMain Financial. When I contacted OneMain they stated that AutoMoney will need to void the check that was sent to the PO Box and reissue a check to the account holder. They have also stated that they will keep an eye out for the check to arrive in the mail. If there are any further details I can provide you with please let me know. I would simply like to resolve the issue so I no longer will need to do any communication with the company. Resolution Sought Cut the check as it should have been in the first place to the account holder and not the financial institution that consolidated the debt.
