I purchased a 2016 Lexus NX200t from this dealer, To start the car was priced low and I was told that's with a $2500 deposit. Still purchased the vehicle but later that evening when the sun went down I realized the daytime running light was was out. I thought it was just a bulb and figured I'd get it replaced when I get back home. I flew to NYC from GA to purchase the vehicle. When I went to replace the bulb I was told that the entire light has to be replaced. The Lexus dealership quoted me $1,125 to replace including labor. I immediately reached out to the dealership and was told that if I replace and submit receipts that I would be reimbursed. I guess the dealer was under the assumption that it was just a bulb but when I informed the manager Ryan that the entire light had to be replaced I was told they won't be able to reimburse me. I believe they knew this light was out when they sold me the vehicle. I even asked for the owners name and was told they don't share that information because I wanted to reach out to someone over the managers. I was trying to compromise and see if we can go half on the repair but still declined. I know they didn't sell me this vehicle in good faith but with the intent of getting over on me with a repair that was costly. Resolution Sought I would like AutoRama to even begin like they care for their customers. They was extra friendly leading up to be purchasing the vehicle but after when a problem arrived it's nothing they can do. Even if they would pay half of this unexpected expense would help.

Mr Scales applied for financing on 10/9/2021. He was approved, and given his interest rate and payments over the phone. He decided to move forward and scheduled to pick up the vehicle 6 days later. If the downpayment was an issue he had ample time to cancel the transaction as this was not a rushed sale. The fact that the sale price is coming up in his complaint is simply unacceptable. As for his light that was out, the dealership had no knowledge of this nor was it our intent to “get over” on him. Just as he hadn’t seen it because it was daytime, neither did we. However as previously stated the car was picked up on the 15th and the first email regarding this complaint was received on 10/28. The light could have stopped working while in his possession. There are emails on record which Mr. Scales claims he loves his car more and more each day. The picture he trying to paint is bogus!
