As one of your most valued AVIS PREFERRED customers I am very appalled at the level of service I've been receiving at your Memphis International Airport location for the past three weeks. Three different interactions with the same persons and they have all been terrible. For starters they believe the cars are theirs and they pick and choose what you can get although it's your money being used. I made my reservations days ahead to be told a car is already reserved when I ALREADY RESERVED MINES TOO is very unacceptable. They then go on to tell me I'd have to wait for another car to be available while i watch them service 5 others walking up. Since the beginning I could tell there was some tension or some problem with that Rep you have there I would hate to look at this as bias because it's silly it's cars. 9/26/25 cherry was put on the tree when your rep charged me for my rental $557 and then told me she wouldn't be able to give me a rental because it didn't go through on their end . She even laughed about it with the other employees as if something was funny about it. All while i was stranded at the airport and my money TAKEN! She was very unconcerned and unbothered. That is not the behavior I expect from anyone associated with Avis. Seeing that i was getting no where with her I asked if she could get me the manager or supervisor. She told me she doesn't have a manger or supervisor. That they work on their own. Resolution Sought Remove charge of $557 from my credit card that has been pending almost two weeks & remove the falsified smoking fee charge!

Rented a vehicle through Costco and connected with Avis for Thursday July 10-Saturday July 12. The rental was an eclectic vehicle in which I explained I did not realize it was an electric car and didn't know anything about them. I inquired to switch in which the representative stated the rate I received was best due to the gas vehicles would be extremely high. I was not provided an amount to switch. I was given a card to download for charging stations and told if charged fully would take me to the intended location. I charged the vehicle prior to the trip and was about 1 hour out into a 2 1/2 hour trip and the car percentage dropped to 30. My family and I were stranded for well over 3 hours while the car charged and missed out destination to catch the train for a Grand Canyon tour. Once the car was charged to 45 with 94 miles, we attempted to return home and was stranded again after 30 min of driving. I returned the car Friday and was told the only refund was for returning it early. I called customer service was told a full refund would be provided but could not help with the Lyft fees or the amount to charge the vehicle. I asked for supervisor and talked to Aria employee #4178. Explained the situation and was told she could refund the Lyft charges but would be deducted from the bill. I explained the prior representative stated full refund and the supervisor could assist with charging fees and Lyft. Aria stated that was incorrect and Avis does not allow full refunds Resolution Sought Full refund plus Lyft refunds and charging the vehicle refunded.

Upon receipt of your communication a review of the customer service file was conducted. Our records indicate a booking was made using the Costco website services. The car class selected for the confirmation was an electric vehicle. We are sorry for any difficulties or problems encountered during the hire. Our goal is to have each customer feel their rental experience was positive period based upon these findings we find the charges assessed fair and reasonable but, in the spirit, to maintain positive customer relations we have fully comped the rental charges today a monetary credit of $41.70 has been submitted to the MasterCard account on file allow three business days for the credit to post.
