I purchased a Maytag on 5/21/2022 from Badcock Home Furniture & More within one and a half week the washer began to show the code e-2 and f-2 contact service. The washer has the manufacture warranty and additional 3 years warranty. Whirlpool scheduled two services and finally I was told that they don't have a service in the area to authorize to fix the washer. I had to wait 7 days so they could authorize for me to find someone to fix it. That took about two weeks and finally they said they would pay 150.00, by that time I had been looking. I could not find no one. I also contacted Badcock, because I was told they could have swapped it out for a new one as a defect, Badcock avoided my call and refused to communicate with me. I was also told that this washer was registered in October 29, 2021. This was a floor sample so it could have been returned by another customer. I am paying for a washer that I can't use. I had to purchase another washer because Whirlpool nor Badcock has assisted me to resolve the problem. I am paying for the washer because I don't want to damage my credit that I have worked so hard to build. Resolution Sought Badcock or Whirlpool needs to accept responsibility for the washer without damaging my credit. They both have stopped communicating with me. Now, I am stuck with a 1300. 00 balance and broken washer.

Company states: The customer has stopped communicating with us at the store. The customer was informed after the purchase that they would have to get in touch with the manufacturer. The account is under Ms. Jones and she made the purchase for her daughter. After her daughter received the washer, her mom was upset about the bill. We advised this is on a credit agreement, and now Ms. Jones is saying there is something wrong with the washer. There seems to be a dispute between Ms. Jones, and her daughter who got permission to purchase the machine. The customer needs to contact the manufacturer if there is something wrong with it. If they don't have repair service in their area, Whirlpool needs to come up with a resolution to assist this customer The customer purchased a 3-year warranty which is in their benefit if something is wrong with the machine. This issue is out of our control.
