My guys needed a dingo to move some dirt at my property. I went and rented a small one from Ballard hardware for $375. They brought the machine out there at 10:30am and dropped it off. The machine broke at 3:00pm and we immediately called the shop. He came out and took the machine and we didn't get a replacement. He said he would figure it out the next day. The next day he called me and said that the machine had to be serviced and that he wanted $900 . I asked about another machine and he wouldn't give me one. He then started telling me that he has tons of money for lawyers and that he is going to put a mechanics lean on my property Resolution Sought I would like for at least half of the rental money to be returned because I barely got to use the machine. I also wish for the business to stop trying to get my property. He was asking about buying the property and how many acres it was as soon as he came out to see it. We told him it wasn't for sale and now he does this. He drove the machine away and him trying to charge us $900 for an oil change sounds almost criminal!

To whom it may concern, It appears that Mr. Preston has been dishonest with you and has filed a wrongful (#99025730) against our business. Mr. Preston rented a piece of equipment (Bobcat MT100) on July 1, 2024. It was during this rental that Mr. Preston called explaining that the machine had malfunctioned. Bobcat of Louisville was called to the location of the machine for repairs. Unable to repair the machine, Bobcat of Louisville transported the machine back to their shop. It was determined that the machine had sustained damage due to a rollover; something Mrs. Preston failed to explain. This was confirmed by Mr. Preston's neighbor who assisted Mr. Preston with hooking a chain to the machine and rolling it back upright. Mr. Preston is liable for damages incurred during the rental. As you can see from the attached invoices, we did not charge Mr. Preston the full amount of the repairs.
