I called Baptist hospital to set up a appointment for an MRI they said it wasn't necessary come through the emergency department. I did this on the advice of my doctor for MRI and a CAT scan. When I arrived they took my temperature and my blood pressure and I waited about 2 hours and was taken to get the MRI. They said no one was available for the CAT scan. That was last year it was due to an auto accident and my auto insurance give me a claim number. This year I get a bill for $4,214.15. They want me to pay this, the total bill was $13,733, I feel as though I've been defrauded, and taking advantage of merely for an MRI. 2 weeks after this I went to summoned and got the same thing done for less than $2,000 filed on my Medicare. I only get social security and this represents about 1/4 of it. I'm unable to pay this and I think the hospitals are using the loophole in the auto insurance law to rob me. Resolution Sought I went there for one thing and MRI I did not go in an ambulance I went in of my own free will for this reason only. I feel as though they should charge an honest price for the MRI and give back the $9,500 in emergency medical Services they claim to my insurance company State Farm.
