I have a credit balance with Barton Clay Jewelers which has been outstanding for at least 23 years. Over the years I have been told I did not have a credit in their store, which I disputed. I have asked the business through the years to provide me with an accurate balance in my account. Until this year, 2023, they have refused to give me the information for which I had continually asked them to provide. They finally hired a bookkeeper who spent weeks looking into my Barton Clay Jewelers account balance which, as I said, had been pending for over 20 years! When a balance had been determined, I went to the owner and explained to him the extreme failure/delay that I have experienced with his business and my concern for all these years in being told that I didn't have a balance and their failure to ably investigate further into my account balance. Resolution Sought I have asked the owner to refund my balance of $500.00. We have invested a significant amount of money with them since they opened their business in 1987. They chose not to provide the info (credit balance) I had requested numerous times over the years until now (23 years+ later). Eric McClain, the owner, responded to my request by saying it's against his company policy to refund my long pending credit balance.
