Customer Complaint
8/2/2022
I purchased my vehicle from Basney in 2020, with cash. In January of 2022, I was rear ended, with damages totaling $4300.00. In March, I was hit again while parked in a parking lot, with damages near $17,000.00. I took my vehicle to Basney collision center for repairs. After 3 months, my parts were not in, and I was given no information regarding the status of my vehicle. I was given a new service advisor, who then told me that the best they could do was put aftermarket parts on my vehicle, otherwise they had no eta on my parts. I was told that I would have to pay $1100.00 for a door, because my insurance did not cover it. I was also told that the dealership would provide me a loaner, because my insurance was no longer covering my rental car. They did not. I paid for the door, and the rental vehicle for another two months. When I picked up my vehicle after more than 5 months, I was told that my rotors were rusted and I needed them fixed. I was also told that my muffler was damaged and they did not notice in the initial inspection, but they would take care of that. The day after taking my car home, a loud clunking was coming from my front axle. I returned to Basney, and was told again that it was my rotors. I drove my child to the fair, 35 miles down the highway and back, at 70mph with severe clunking. Returning home, I discovered that each of my four tires was missing a lug nut, and my driver side tire was nearly off. Now, they want me to leave it, but they don't have parts!
Resolution Sought
I want the dealership to put me in a new car, and take back the one that I bought from them less than two years ago. I bought a 2017 Mazda CX-5, Grand Select, with 24,500 miles on it. They have the same vehicle on the show floor, but a newer year. My son and I could've been killed, due to their negligence, and our lives are worth more than an apology!
