My February 8, 2020 car accident settled @ $98,065.71 on October 10,2023. There was an approximate settlement time of 4weeks. In the final breakdown, BD&J claimed $46000 in fees. Roughly $13,000. above the agreed upon 33. When I questioned such an increase, I was told it was due to litigation. I completed my paperwork, including deposition by myself. State Farm acknowledged responsibility of their client for accident. There was a witness. I was called by an attorney @ BD& J and informed 1week after my deposition, State Farm agreed to pay entire liability. I was also informed that my responses during the deposition were so great, they expected an offer within a week or so. That is exactly what subsequently occurred. At NO time was I informed of excessive litigation or increased attorney fees. My settlement fees were exploited, and unjustly taken. Resolution Sought Give me my $13000. It is my money.

This has to be one of the worst law firms I have ever dealt with. From the receptionist to the negotiators. The lawyers aren't too bad but the team as a whole is literally worst. At no cost never hire these people for anything. They say they will call you back and never do. They do not realize they work for you and not the other way around. When you call they act like you are bothering them. They have many hidden fees and they will not explain those at the time of retention. They will act like they are working so hard for you but all they do is lie. They told me two weeks for a task but took three months and when i called to question the long delay they say oh we just got back the response today or yesterday so it will be a few weeks. But you already waited so long. Truthfully you are better off representing yourself than to hire them. I told the receptionist (Ashley) she was being rude in a polite way and she could not care less. The negotiator (Gabriel) is full of lies he will not call you back after you call and he is always "on lunch" or "just left" or "on another call". After reading this and you hire them it is your fault. i had a slam dunk case which they took pro bono cause they knew it was easy money. With hidden fees they tried to offer me 30 of my settlement. Resolution Sought I would like to cancel my agreement with them and hire another attorney but I signed a contract! Please help I think this company is scam.
