When I pulled into the Z Deck Garage (Metropolis) to go to work (this is right downtown Detroit so parking is scant. I have to park somewhere to go to work.) there was an event sign that said $40, which sucked but it was very busy downtown that day and I had no choice. I'm usually charged a flat price no matter how long I stay in the garage. I've been at work for 14-16 hours sometimes and I only get charged one amount (usually either 10.99 or 26 and some odd change) When I pulled out of the lot, I was charged double the event price which has never happened before. There is no signage and I did not expect to be charged twice since this has literally never happened in the past (able to provide receipts with time stamps). I generally feel like they price gauge people as is on event days but to be charged twice the amount listed without any heads up is messed up. That's like, half of what I make in a day sometimes. I need to pay rent and buy groceries and people need to work at the restaurant so this cannot be acceptable and happening. I will pay the $40 displayed because I agreed to that when I pulled in but I have never had to pay twice the amount and I absolutely should not have to. I found it convenient that is happened on that day. Resolution Sought Honestly, I feel like I should be fully refunded for the day because of the shady activity but at minimum I want the extra $40 they charged me refunded to me.
