I had a direct deposit go into my BELLA account from the state for my unemployment. They froze my account. I contacted them to find out why and they told me they froze it because it was from unemployment. They wanted to confirm my identity. I sent them the requested forms of ID and expected my funds released. Wrong. They them asked me to provide them with a bank statement from my state to "prove my eligibility " for benefits. Not really their place to ask but I sent it to speed up the process. After sending in the bank statement they decided that wasn't good enough either. Now they wanted a paycheck stub or w2 proving my employment from that state. Sent that only to have them tell me incorrectly that their sources told them my benefit year ended and I would need to send them screen shots of my account and previous payments. Did that too and now they are refusing to unlock my account and give me access to my funds and have stopped responding to my emails. Its been 3 days and I depend on this money to buy food and pay for shelter. They had no business asking for such invasive access to my finances and after being provided with everything they ask I still get no result. Resolution Sought My account unlocked, and to be compensated for the many hours spent and the stress I've taken on due to their inability to do there job. Not sure if there is some way to levy fines on them but the business should suffer because I'm sure I'm not the only person they are doing this to. Only way to make a business suffer is by affecting there bottom line. So I hope they are held accountable for the disservice they provide to the customers.
