Sadly, I am a Hyundai customer. My daughter was driving my car and it died on the side of the road on October 8, 2021 at 11:00pm. I had to have the car towed, at teal automotive in Fayetteville, he was aware of the issues going on with these motors and showed me a recall paper in his office. Upon inspection I was told the motor was locked up and would have to be replaced. From there I reached out to Bentley Hyundai in Huntsville Alabama. Lori, one of the service specialists told me after a week and a half they would not do anything to the car on our behalf, because the recall for the knock sensor had not been previously done. As I explained, we owned the car around a year and never once received any notification of a recall or we would've already had it taken care of. Therefore, that was out of my control! Lori, in Huntsville said the reason for that is that the previous owner had still been receiving that information. So there's proof that we were not at fault for this issue and I know numerous people now that have had this exact situation and received a new motor but no one wants to be held responsible for a car that I've had literally a year! The car is still at the dealership where they are working on the 3 recalls now it has been there nearly a month now with no answers except "you have already been denied". I refuse to take that as an answer! I am a single mother to a 17 year old, driving this car most days after she got her license. I cannot afford to get a new motor Resolution Sought Claim responsibility and replace the motor as they should.
