Coerced into purchasing useless product without an option to refund

I was interested in Rebo Gateway for generating lists of probate homes and divorcees. The salesman, Matt Lamont, showed me via a screen-share how I can search for lists. His demo was fast and breezed over everything I could do. He took my credit card info and charged me $400 saying I would get a welcome email. I did not. 3 days later I managed to get in contact with Matt and he finally sent over the welcome package. The email said it was a $400 non-refundable deposit; Matt never mentioned it was non-refundable. I logged on and scheduled my free phone training meeting. During the meeting we realized that the county I had purchased did not have probate or divorcee info available, rendering this product virtually useless to me. The tech suggested I try and get a refund, so I contacted Matt. No answer. The next day I finally got in contact with Matt and he sent me to customer service, who then sent me to some email address. I sent my email requesting a refund and waited. 3 days later I got a response saying my subscription had been cancelled, but I still had access until next year (meaning they did not refund my money and just stopped the auto-renewal). I immediately called customer service who said they couldn't do anything and suggested I call Matt again, who is now avoiding me. It is wrong to charge someone $400 and only after to tell them it was non-refundable. Matt knew that I was interested in probate and divorcee info and knew that my county didn't have it available; he pushed for the sale anyways.
