The issue: Does an after market warranty over a motor vehicle cover ONLY the cost of parts without the labor to replace said parts? The Complaint: Ford Bergeys replaced the original engine on my Honda 2002 Accord with an after market engine herein after referred to as 'the replacement engine.' The replacement engine came with a 100 day warranty. The replacement engine failed the same day I drove the car home from the garage. I returned the car to the garage and was told that the replacement engine needed to be replaced with another. The garage has since supplied another after market replacement engine but is billing me the labor cost of replacing one engine with the other. I know that the warranty should cover both the parts and the labor to replace the parts. Resolution Sought That Ford Bergeys of Lansdale respect their warranty.

Company states; I have now received this complaint regarding Bison Tambe's Vehicle. Mr. Tambe has an aftermarket warranty for his honda vehicle. Mr. Tambe's warranty company approved the replacement on the engine with a used part , that has a 100 day part only / no labor warranty from a junk yard. Mr. Tambe's Used , junk yard engine failed not long after being replaced. The junk yard has since supplied another replacement used engine. We contacted Mr. Tambe's warranty company to cover the labor to replace this engine, since THEY authorized the use of a part the carries NO LABOR WARRANTY. Mr. Tambe's warranty company denied this claim and will not cover the labor. We are currently in the process of getting a upper management review from the junk yard to possibly assist Mr. Tambe in the labor of replacing his second engine. I have spoken with Mr. Tambe as well regarding this concern and where we are at in this process. Once in know the decision from the junk yard, I will further advise Mr. Tambe of the next steps.
