I am writing to express my utmost dissatisfaction and to file an urgent complaint regarding the defective condition of a 2021 BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe that I recently purchased from your dealership. On April 1st, 2024, with the assistance of my salesperson, Mr. Joaquin Fresgoso, I finalized the purchase of this vehicle (VIN: XXXXX) with 44,937 miles on the odometer. The transaction was completed out-of-state, as I am a resident of New Jersey. The vehicle was then picked up from the auto transport carrier and delivered to my residence on April 5th, 2024. Mere moments into my first test drive, I encountered a significant issue. The transmission exhibited a noticeable jerk, and a "POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION" warning appeared on the display. Naturally, I was extremely upset by this development in a newly acquired vehicle. Despite Mr. Fresgoso's assurance that he did not experience any such powertrain malfunctions during his test drive to wash and refuel the vehicle, I promptly contacted him to report the issue. Unfortunately, he dismissed my concerns. With no recourse, I proceeded directly to my local BMW dealership for diagnosis and repair. However, due to their scheduling constraints, I was unable to have the vehicle inspected until April 8th. Upon evaluation, the service technicians informed me that a complete transmission replacement is required. As a result of this severe mechanical failure, I am now without the use of my recently purchased vehicle, with no estimate. Resolution Sought Give me a replacement vehicle same exact make, model and edition.
