This company misdiagnosed my services in order to get their company technician paid for services that I did not need. I have home insurance coverage with American Home Shield. I called them around 10/05/23 after being away from me home for family emergencies about my hot water not getting hot. I paid their fee and they contracted the company Bestway Mechanical to check me equipment to see why I could not get hot water. The first tech came by on 10/10/23 and just looked at my hot water heater and said he needed to replace it bc it was too old. I asked why didn't he even try to light it or even try to troubleshoot to see what to problem was before just jumping to replacement. He stated that they can't troubleshoot out of warranty equipment. He then stated he was calling in to see if I had to pay for the new heater and gave me their prices. I told him that I should be covered. ( AHS) cover the new heater after he called in. He then called his company and they came up with an additional fee that was required by them after i have already paid $120 for home repairs to AHS. He stated that I had to pay an additional $700 for upgrades needed in my home for the new hot water heater. I agreed only bc I thought he fully check my system not know that the only reason my heater was not working was b/c my gas was tuned off. Was charged $700 for upgrade but it was not needed. Last tech stated made me pay bf I started the install but after could not get to work bc of no gas. Resolution Sought I would like a full refund.

American Home shield dispatched this company out to my home on 9-6-2022. Dispatch# 1050500808. Technician Cody. For a leak in my bathroom, I told the technician that the leak started after I got my daughter out of the tube. He went and looked and said it was coming from the faucet. I told him no it wasn't. He placed a call so that he could be told how to repair it. And I still told him that's not where it was coming from. He left, I ran water in my tube and water started pouring out the ceiling. I contacted Cody, he told me he had closed it out and I would have to put in another work order. I contacted AHS. They had the company to send him back out, against my wishes. He came in found the leak was coming from the tube, cut a part of my ceiling out, and a part of my wall in my bedroom. He then told me I had to wait to find out if it was covered. He did not stop the leak. He said the faucet handle was stripped. I still needed someone to come out because my carpet in my room got wet and the ceiling was still dripping. So I had to contact another plumber and pay a service fee out of pocket. Cody never stopped my leak, so damages were still being done. He could have atleast capped the leak and stopped it, even if he was waiting to see if the parts to fix it would be covered. I then received a call that Cody, wrote in his notes that my problem, was not normal wear and tear, yet he cut a whole in my ceiling and in my bedroom wall. Best way Mechanical is not a good company! Resolution Sought I would like them to refund me my money for these service fees I paid. And pay a portion for my carpet to be replaced. I have a 1 year old daughter, and she had to breathe in this. If he had capped the leak some damage could have been avoided. And it took 2 days for another plumber to be dispatched out. That plumber said he should have atleast stopped the leak and it would have prevented my carpet from getting wet.
