In September, I was contacted by 2 companies called Green Dot Films and Better Bound House to promote my book and to develop a screen play for me to pitch to potential film makers. This was all to be done by early October in order to meet a "deadline." I signed their service agreement which was to include 3 payments over 3 months to cover the total cost of $10,000.00. I couldn't afford the entire amount for the first payment so they agreed to allow me to make a down payment of $1000 and then pay a second payment of $2333 within 10 days to complete the first of 3 installments. The $2333.00was made on September 13th, 2023. I did not hear back until October 6th, when I was advised that the draft screenplay was complete but needed additional editing and corrections. I was eventually sent the first draft of this screenplay via email on October 16th. It was of poor quality and I did not approve what they sent. On my last billing from my credit card statement, I noticed that I was charged $2233.34 apparently for the 2nd installment. I did not approve this automated payment and was never contacted prior to this transaction that occurred on Oct. 6th. 2013. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company on those charges. Please look up this article, "Anatomy of a Fake Film Company Scam: The Greendot Films/Better Bound House." I did some research and unfortunately was not aware of the issues with these companies. This article describes exactly what I experienced with Resolution Sought I would like a refund of the last two payments for the disputed amount listed above, $4666.34.
