My 2009 Kia Rio LXhas been at the Billion Kia Dealer in Sioux Falls about 7 weeks with a broken transmission. The service rep has ordered a rebuilt transmission but has no idea when or if it will arrive,can you folks help? Resolution Sought A rebuilt transmission will soon be put in the car so I can drive it.

On or about January 4, 2022, R. Wieme, the original owner, brought his 2009 Kia Rio LX vin#xxxxxx7218 (the "Vehicle") to Billion Kia of Sioux Falls ("Billion") because the transmission was out. Mr. Wieme requested a quote for a replacement, to which he approved for Billion to order. Billion ordered the transmission that same day. In the meantime, Mr. Wiene sold his Kia to M. Kirk, as a personal transaction. On the week of January 31, 2022, Mr. Kirk came into Billion for an update on the transmission that was ordered earlier in the month. At this time, there were still no transmissions available in the United States. Billion remained on the list to receive one as soon as one was available. On March 21, 2022, Billion was notified by the Kia manufacturer that the transmission for this specific vehicle model was located and has been discontinued and Kia was going to cancel the order. (provided copy of documents to BCA showing cancelleation). The following day, March 22, 2022, Billion notified Mr. Kirk that Billion has ordered a rebuilt transmission and it was expected to be here in 3-7 business days. Mr. Kirk has been stopping into Billion every few days to receive updates. Billion believes everything has been done in a diligent and timely manner despite the delay and late notification by Kia of the discontinued transmission.
