Blink Fitness Center complaints

My daughter joined blink gym online on 1/12/2024 when she was a minor but gave her date of birth as being 18. On the website it stated that it was $15 per month but she did not read the small print which said there was a yearly maintenance fee of 59.99 and $60.00 to cancel the membership. She did not have my consent to join a gym as she is going to out of state college this August. She had gone to the gym twice since joining 1/12/2024. and paid $15 each month. They have denied her request to cancel the membership unless she pays the $60 cancelation fee. They charged her the maintenance fee yesterday. Resolution Sought When myself and my daughter went to blink location in Baldwin yesterday and I spoke with the club manager she initially waived the cancellation fee but when I asked for the Corporate number she said she was withdrawing waiving the fee. I would like for my daughter not to have to pay these fees since I feel my daughter did not have the legal capacity to understand the contract.

I called and wrote BLINK FITNESS for a refund and cancellation of service, however, I have not gotten a response and more charges are being made to my card. The letter I sent is following this opening statement. Nov 14, 2023, 11:18?AM EST Hi Corporate Office; I am emailing to request a cancellation of membership. I made this request to an attendant at the Queens location yesterday after an unfortunate incident. The incident took place about half an hour after I registered and was using the facility. The incident was where another member indicated that a certain machine may not be used jointly by myself and him. To prevent the joint use, the member placed his towel on the bar to prevent me from using same. I politely asked for the use of the equipment and was prevented. I proceeded to request the intervention of an attendant, who indicated his name was Sammy Martin. Same came to the location where the towel was on one side of the machine and the member was using the other side. Sammy said nothing to the member but instead directed me to go to another area that he deemed as vacant and said; "this happens at every Gym". When I was told to go somewhere else (to another section of the machine) and that this happens at every GYM, I requested the cancellation of membership and my money returned. Mr. Martin tried to cancel the membership but it would not go through. He then give me a telephone number for the corporate office and said that I should call them. Resolution Sought Refund all charges and delete my information from their records.
