Company Response
9/20/2021
Company states; I am the corporate paralegal to the Luther Automotive Group and all of its dealerships, including Luther
Bloomington Acura Subaru ("Dealership"). I am writing you in response to your letter dated August 23, 2021, regarding Mr. Grove's 2010 Subaru Forester ("Vehicle").
By way of background, on October 10, 2020, Mr. Grove purchased the Vehicle with 101,956 miles on it. He also purchased an extended warranty that same day. Then, on November 3, 2020, less than a month after owning the Vehicle, Mr. Grove cancelled the warranty and he was refunded in full. The mileage on the Vehicle at the time of the warranty cancellation was 103,512. In the span of one month, Mr. Grove put 1,560 miles on the Vehicle.
To date, Mr. Grove has not brought the Vehicle back to our Dealership for service. We are unable to determine if required oil changes have been completed on time. Additionally, we have not assessed the Vehicle ourselves to determine what caused the oil to be empty.
Charlie Rassouli, the General Manager of the Dealership, has reached out to Mr. Grove to discuss his options. He provided Mr. Grove with other resources to potentially repair the Vehicle at a lower cost than the original estimate, and he also suggested that Mr. Grove bring it in to be evaluated to see what repairs need to be made.
However, Mr. Grove has declined all our offers. Since Mr. Grove cancelled his warranty, we cannot repair his Vehicle for free. We value our customers, and would like to reach a resolution that Mr. Grove finds acceptable. The General Manager is going to reach out again to Mr. Grove, and see if we can get him into a different vehicle.
If you, or Mr. Grove have additional questions, please contact Charlie Rassouli at 952-885-4105, or at
Charlie.rassouli@lutherauto.com.
Sincerely,
Charlie Rassouli, General Manager
