I was sold a car from this private seller June 1st 2022. I found the seller on Facebook marketplace. When sold the car I was given a copy of the original title. They told me I would have one in soon as it came in. They wrote on my bill of sales that I paid 1200 instead of 4600 so I wouldn't have too pay much when I get the car registered. This my first time getting a car not from a dealership so I went with it. The bill of sale was not notarized in front of me when I asked about it they said I didn't have too be there. So 2 weeks later I got pulled over by the police and they told me the tag in my car was not matching my car but another car somewhere else. When I got in contact with them about it they did not know what I was talking about at first but said they would fix it. I was told I had a 30 day warranty too get anything fixed that needed too be , 2 issues came up with my car and I told them, they have been giving me the run around all month long about it. Still no issues fixed. When my title came in I bought my dad with me bc something didn't seem right. They already had my title filled out without me being present and they already had it notarized without me being present and they didn't not have original title. They told me I didn't have too be around for it too be notarized . My dad told them that it was against the law they became furious. I told them I needed the right documents bc some are missing, they have not been in contact since. Resolution Sought I would like business too give me my money back and they can have their car back.

Customer did purchase a 2008 Honda Accord from our Dealership on June, 1st, 2022 for the price of $1200. On the day of purchase, the original title to the car was not yet available, so we provided her with a copy and guaranteed her the original would be available to her within 30 days, to which she agreed. We also provided her with a 60 day temporary tag for the vehicle, which we registered to her name through the Louisiana Office of Motor vehicle website. Also, this vehicle was sold AS-IS, which is clearly printed on the bill of sale! As to her getting pulled over by police two weeks later, unless the tag was tempered with after Mrs. Stewart took possession of the car, it didn't make sense that the Officer would imply that the tag didn't match the vehicle. The tag didn't expire until July 31st, 2022. Both Mrs. Stewart and I, have a copy of the temporary registration and I instructed her on the day she purchased the vehicle to make sure she keeps it in the glove compartment! Mrs. Stewart was referred to us by a third party, whom she refers to as the private seller she found on Facebook and who, to my understanding also received a finders fee from Mrs. Steward. I later found out that this person was also the one who offered Mrs. Stewart to work on her car. When the original title came in several days later, we notified Mrs.Stewart to come and sign it. After clearing up a slight misunderstanding about the process of filling out and notarizing the sales documents on behalf of her dad whom she brought along, Mrs.Stewart did sign and was satisfied with the sale. She has since registered her vehicle permanently and to my knowledge didn't have any more issues!
