I purchased a used car 1999 Cadillac Eldorado shortly after the car had drive train problems, I called the dealership told the sales manager Victor Martinez ,had the car towed to Bredemann Ford, Victor said his techs were on strike, but his Toyota dealership could repair my car, about a week later Victor said the repairs would be $3200.00 he would pay $2000.00 and for me to pay $1200.00 I said no way the car has a 15 day 500 mile warranty, this transpired 8/3/2021, Bredemann Ford dealership refusing to abide by State, and Federal Law. Resolution Sought Abide by State and federal used car 15 day 500 mile warranty and repair my car.

Customer Rebuttal

Joe Bredemann, circumvented Illinois and Federal Law, which states dealers must repair the car, which he refused to do for over 50 days, after being contacted by the Illinois Attorney General then and only then he said I could either pick up the car or take the money he never said the car had been repaired after such a raw display of his character there was no other option yes I signed a document, but it was under duress, I'm 72 years of age a veteran and a Black man, this has to be personal, deprived me of my only transportation to and from Doctor appointment because he's a rich white man is totally inhumane.

Company Final Response

10/4/2021

Dear staff, his response should scare all of us. We sold him a 22 year old Cadillac Eldorado in apparently great shape for about $6000. After about 2 weeks a modest oil pan gasket oil leak became apparent. When we inspected it, we found it was a very poor design by General Motors that required the engine to be pulled to fix a simple oil leak that otherwise would have cost $100 on any other vehicle. We chose to voluntarily offer a complete refund rather than spend $2-3,000 to fix a $6,000 car. He initially refused our offer because he wanted to keep it, but then tried to force us to fix it under a misreading of a 15 day, 500 mile engine or transmission failure. It was never intended to cover a leak. He must be desperate, and should be embarrassed to blame his race and mine for our actions. He should look in the mirror for someone to blame. I never even met him. He accepted our voluntary offer of a full refund and voluntarily signed a complete release. Thx
