I was searching for a reliable handyman service to do work on my house. I came across the website for Brothers Handyman Scot Norton told me he would come out give an estimate, would sign a contract with me if we would allow him to do the work he would start right away. I had no reason not to trust him since he wanted to sign contract, he seemed like a person that was honest and ready to work! He wrote estimates, signed a contract, he required $400 down and he will get started as soon as possible . We trusted his word and a few reviews of his work. There was no reason to doubt that he wouldn't come back. It started with him saying that he would be there on a certain day would be working that week and did not show up, I called he had a sick family member and they had to go to ER it was emergency, but he will be there in the next couple days the. He didn't show up. He didn't call so I called him. Now he said that he would be over he had gotten bronchitis and very sick, but doctor was releasing him the next week. That was the start of him not showing up and not responding to calls or text messages. He said he was going to bring the money back cause he didn't think he would be well enough to do the job. Every time we did connect he promised he would bring money the next day. The money ever came, nor did he. I started to realize he decided to scam me. Now, he does not answer calls or texts. It saddens me that he didnt keep his word. If there was a need he should told me. Resolution Sought This situation started April 3, 2023. I would like to receive the $400 back. It is obvious Scot Norton does not intend on responding to me and I don't trust him to be the Handyman from the website he appeared to be. At this point, as I asked before, for return of the funds in the amount of $400 to continue with house repairs. Thank you for your help with the matter!
