Hi Lori. Recently my mother was involved or is involved should I say, in a dispute with a mechanics shop here in Siloam springs arkansas. It's been 4 months since we have put our diesel truck in the shop for a new computer. time goes on and their shop was broken into. all of the Cadillac converters and computer off the vehicles were taken and the computer out of my truck was taken. Since they had a sign in their front office detailing that they are not responsible for accidents or anything on the property, they proceeded to tell me that I had to pay for the part that was missing out of my vehicle. That's a $400 part. They got paid insurance, they have not paid me for a vehicle, they told me basically they have nothing to do with it and I have to pay for everything myself. It's been 4 months lori. My mom has had to close her store down because she could not get the supplies she needed to stay open. 4 months now we're still waiting. We had to cough up the $400 for the part because we have no choice and for some reason no lawyers around here will touch the case. But judges also told us from this amazing website called quora.com that it was morally wrong and that the paper should mean nothing. We really can't afford a loss like this in the times that we're facing right now. if yall could please do a check in on the situation, I'm hoping that maybe you with you on it it will put the fire to them and make them do what's right. We have suffered so much loss just from this Resolution Sought I want to be reimbursed of our part payment we paid for out of pocket since their insurance covered it and they never paid for it. And we want a rental car until it's done! We are stuck with no ride for FOUR MONTHS NOW. I WANT THIS TO BE FAIR. I just wanna be able to work again and use a vehicle. I thought insurance PAID for coverage of a rental in instances as this!!

Linda's vehicle was towed into our shop. We diagnosed the issues and gave an estimate to Ms. Taylor. At the time she stated she did not have the money to make the repairs and she stated she wanted to see if she could find the parts herself that were needed to bring her to make the repairs. The vehicle has sat here for months. I charge a daily storage fee for vehicles that are left over a few days – which I have not charged her anything. While the vehicle has been here for months it was broken into and the computer was stolen out of the truck. It is posted that we are not responsible for theft or damage done to vehicles while here. Ms. Taylor said she would look for a computer to replace the one that was stolen and we have looked for a replacement but there are none to be found. Ms. Taylor and I have spoken multiple times regarding the issue with trying to get parts to fix the truck. In the complaint they mention us being paid by insurance. We have not received a penny of money from insurance or Ms. Taylor for all the work we have already done on the truck. I've helped Ms. Taylor multiple times in the past by giving her discounts to help her out financially. Ms. Taylor came into my office on 1/18/22 and brought a computer part that was stolen that she found used and I mentioned to Ms. Taylor about this complaint being filed and she stated she knew nothing about it being filed or being in existence. We are sorry that a part was stolen from the vehicle but we are not responsible for that and the vehicle has sat here for months because she doesn't have the money to fix it and is trying to find the parts herself at a discounted price.
